Animal Friendly License Plates

NEW: Animal Friendly License Plate Program - Grants Available for Spay/Neuter Programs

Purchase a special Animal Friendly License Plate to show your support for free or reduced-cost spaying and neutering for dogs and cats across Texas.

An estimated 1,000,000 dogs and cats will end up in Texas animal shelters this year. Most will be destroyed. Spaying and neutering prevent homeless animals and needless suffering. By ordering your Animal Friendly License Plate today, you can help keep homeless animals off the road!

Out of the $30 fee required for any special issue Texas license plate, $22 is presently being used exclusively to spay and neuter companion animals in Texas. The fund is administered by the Texas Department of Health (Section 828.014 Health and Safety Code). This license plate is the second most successful plate in Texas, producing to this date hundreds of thousands of dollars to help Texas animals.
